The Blocksmith team found each other via crypto-currency meetups around Oklahoma City and San Francisco bay area. Blocksmith has a family connection at the heart of its roots. Verbus, based out of Oaklahoma City, a technology veteran with over 50 years experience and his son Shaheen based out of the San Francisco Bay Area. Shaheen is a surgeon by day and crypto-evangelist by night.

We began with the question: “How can we create a BP group that has no conflicts of interests with anyone else in the ecosystem.” EOS BlockSmith was founded and the vision forged.

Since founding, Blocksmith has added a number of talented team members and a rapidly growing community of 1000s of followers. We are now spreading our education, evangelism and tools throughout the World.

After graduating from medical school Shaheen completed a residency in Head and Neck surgery and moved to the San Francisco Bay Area. It was shortly thereafter that he became enraptured by Bitcoin and blockchain technology. He joined Blockchain@Berkely as a business consultant, later leaving in 2018 to start his own blockchain education and technology consultancy. He is an avid blockchain evangelist and has a fundamental belief in the power that blockchain technology has to change the world for the better.
